LAWRENCE SITS ATOP 2021 NFL PROSPECTS LIST

Given the wild, uneven college football season that recently finished, it will be nice to return to a semblance of normalcy. No longer are we talking about games or teams, but individuals and how they line up heading into the 2021 NFL Draft.

It's been known almost from the minute he stepped on campus that Clemson's Trevor Lawrence would be the top prospect available in whatever draft he chose to enter. Gifted with arm talent and the size teams love to see, injuries appear to be the only thing that could keep him from becoming a big time star.

Who follows Lawrence is anyone's guess -- though what is evident is that offense will carry the early part of the draft. Eight of the top 10 prospects play on offense, which is the name of the game in today's NFL.

A word or two about these rankings -- they are long term projections on how players will do. A few of the names lower on the list may have more of an immediate impact, but over the long haul this is how I believe things will turn out. In a few instances a player may have been ranked slightly higher than his talent ranking/round grade would suggest, as positional value was taken into account. 

In the coming days will be positional breakdowns/rankings, but we start things off with the top 100 prospects available for this year's NFL Draft.
